Beth and I just got back from a sailing trip up the coast of Maine with my nephew Ron (aka Jacob), my sister Connie, and Captain Steve (aka Dad). There was a fair amount of fog but usually it would clear up at mid day. It was like revisiting my childhood summer sailing trips but with five full sized adults! The wildlife was fairly abundant as we saw dolphins, seals, and a finback whale from the boat. We spent several days in Saint John, New Brunswick which I found to be a beautiful little city. It has a densely built downtown with scores of dignified brick Victorian commercial and residential buildings that all sprang up after a fire destroyed most of the city in 1877.

The only word I hate more than Blog is Blogosphere. However, I’ve recently been doing some pro bono work for Won Buddhism of Boston and my sister and realized that blog software packages are becoming the best Content Management Systems on the web. If I want to post information for friends and family on the web, a blog is probably the best way to do it. I have decided to use Serendipity because it has a great interface for managing sidebar plugins and it seems to have a close knit and active developer community.
